I wondered if you would be kind enough to include a short announcement about our local RNID hearing aid drop-in in your notices, put up this poster or add to a newsletter please?
Our RNID Near You drop-ins are free, friendly sessions for people who use NHS hearing aids. There is no need to book an appointment – people can simply come along during the session. Click above for the poster.
At the drop-in, our trained RNID team and volunteers can:
  • Provide free hearing aid batteries
  • Clean and check Oticon and Danalogic NHS hearing aids
  • Replace tubing and domes like-for-like
  • Carry out simple hearing aid maintenance
  • Help with straightforward hearing aid queries and offer advice about where to go if further audiology support is needed
For many people, something as simple as a blocked tube, worn dome or flat battery can leave them struggling to hear. Our local drop-ins can often sort these problems there and then, helping people to hear better without having to make an unnecessary journey to hospital.
They are also particularly helpful for older people, those who find travelling difficult, or anyone who feels unsure about what to do when their hearing aid stops working properly.
We would be extremely grateful if you could help us spread the word.. Sometimes the person who needs us may not see the announcement themselves, but a friend, neighbour or family member might and can pass the information on.
Thank you so much for helping us make hearing support more accessible in our local community.
Warmest wishes,
Clare
